Windows 10 comes without the classic theme engine. Unfortunately, there is no direct way to get the exact appearance of any of the classic themes, especially the ones which have title bar gradients. They have a special place in my heart as a reminder of the good old times of Windows 2000, which was my favorite operating system for many years.

Please be sure to read the Readme file inside the skin's zip file (inside the master zip that you download).Advertisement I always liked how classic themes looked. This was designed for WB 2 running on Win9x I haven't tried it on 2000/XP.

I think you can just save this zip into your Windowblinds program directory and install it as usual from the WindowBlinds dialog. Inside you will find another zip file, which contains the actual UIS info and skin. Just save the downloaded zip somewhere, and open it. Seeing it now brings back memories of the first time I discovered WindowBlndsįor those who can't use this skin, it's because it was submitted the way wincustomize used to be set up - the description, preview image, and zip file inside a master sip file. The skin got lost in the shuffle when reorganized, as well as my old username and password, and I honestly thought I would never see this skin again. It was the second WindowBlinds skin I ever made, and I think I only made about 2 and a half skins total. The purpose of this WindowBlinds 2 "personality" was to give users of Windows 95 the gradient titlebars of Windows 98. I created this thing way back in 1999, when Windows 95 was still in wide use. This is Matt Davis, the creater of this skin.
